Bayden was born at 26 weeks and 3 days due to me having an incompetent cervix. He weighed 2 lbs and 2 oz and was 15 1/4 inches long. A week later they ordered a cranial CT and diagnosed him with a grade 3-4 bleed in his brain. He was still doing so well that they didn't think there was gonna be much damage. Then when he was 2 months old he went into surgery for a Nissen Fundoplication and G-Tube.

Kara was ventilated for the first 4 weeks of her life due to having vocal cord palsy and had a tracheostomy at 4 weeks. She is fed via an NG tube as she can't swallow. Her MRI scan showed some abnormalities and it is beginning to look like she has cerebral palsy. At the moment she is still in hospital waiting for a diagnosis.

Diego was born @ 29wks along with his twin Sergio on 1-5-06. Diego was not breathing and needed extenxive work to get him going. They were admitted to the NICU. Sergio was realeased in mid February, but Diego had to stay in the NICU until 9-21-06. He got his trach and g-tube in May 06'. We were told many times that he wouldn't make it out of the hospital, but he proved them all wrong!

She was born at 32-33 weeks gestation, and was born asystolic requiring a 14 minute resuscitation. She was born at a local hospital, but then had to be transported to a trauma unit due to her condition at birth. She was placed in the neonatatal intensive care unit where she remained for almost 1 month. Within this time, she received a gtube and then returned to the NICU.&nb

Gregory Mckinzie was born on January 5th, 2005. Arriving only at 28-weeks, he weighed in at 2lbs 4 oz. Greg had difficulty breathing and was intubated soon after. When Greg was a few weeks old, he aspirated milk into his lungs, which resulted in significant brain damage. He received his tracheotomy and G-tube thereafter. Doctors said that he would always need a ventilator.

Coleman Presley Phipps was born to us on January 3, 2005 at 7:32 P.M. weighing 6 pounds 9 oz. All throughout the pregnancy my doctor assured me that everything was o.k. On my last visit she told me that I was dilated to 3cm at 37 weeks and she sent me, my husband, and our children to the hospital to start my Pitocin drip to regulate my contractions. Everything was going fine until the nurse came in and applied Oxygen to me and told me to rotate on my side. She said that baby's heart rate had dropped. About 3 hours later I delivered a baby that blue and purple and was crying.

Our son Connor James Ferris was born on November 3, 2003, at 25 weeks, along with his two sisters Gwynne and Chloe. Our babies were born early due to ruptured membranes (misdiagnosed) at 23 1/2 weeks which then put me into PTL. I was stabilized and given high doses of Magnesium Sulfate and intermittent doses of Terbutiline to stop contractions. Ten days after being admitted I had and infection and went in for an emergency c-section that afternoon. Gwynne was born at 2:51pm at 1lb 9oz, Connor was right behind at 2:51pm at 2lbs, followed by Chloe 2:57pm at 1lb 7oz.
