Hello our names are Jamie Simpson and Michael Goddard. On May 28,2009 our son Gaven David was born. Gaven was 5 pounds and 5 ounce and 18 inches long. Gaven seemed to be a healthy little boy born only 19 days early. I was so exited for this is my 1st child. The next day approx. 24 hrs after he was born he was flown out to a hospital in St. Louis Mo.

Ezra was born March 22, 2005 Reading his conditions you can see that with all the other angels on this site he was given a run for his money. Anaya is a typical 12 year old girl born with the medical conditions listed below that make life as a 'tween' difficult. After getting out of the hospital at age 3 she was severely delayed in speech, movement, etc. Shortly after getting out she learned to walk, talk (without using sign language), and started to develop better communication skills.

Nicholas is a 6 yr old with lots of spunk and full of love. His nickname is Papa Bear and he is a very happy boy. He has blessed our home with his continual sweetness. He was born with a genetic condition called Fanconi Anemia. He had a T-E fistula repair at birth and all the throat area was underdeveloped. He has paralyzed vocal cords and had stridor which continued to worsen. He had his tracheostomy when he was 2 months old due to the stridor and paralyzed vocal cords. They do no know if the cords were stretched during surgery or were like that from birth.

Evan Michael Slifer was born 7 weeks early on January 18th, 2001. I developed pre-eclampsia at 30 wks and was then hospitalized for 3 days prior to my emergency c-section. The pregnancy had gone smoothly up until then and as far as we knew, we'd only be dealing with a premature baby. We were wrong. They rushed him from the Ohio State University Medical Center to Children's Hospital here in Columbus OH (where we live) within the first hour of when he was born. Evan was born with TEF/EA which repaired when he was 13 days old as well as a laryngeal web.
