Alex had a trach for 10 months. He needed the trach due to having a spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma at age 4 with major complications. Alex was hospitalized for 7 months and 1 week. He came home still using the ventilator half the day but started playing sports. He plays sled hockey and miracle league baseball. Alex has taken to his therapy programs and continues
