Ally has faced over 15 surgeries already in her short five years. Her twin sister Katie is doing well and has been a big support and love in her life. Someday we hope and pray that she will join the decannulated group. Ally had her trach placed when she was 5 months old for Laryngomalacia. Dylan was born with lots of medical conditions and a preemie. He was born at home and transported to Brenner's Children Hospital where he live for 2 years. His major medical problem was renal failure so he was started on dialysis. First it was peritoneal dialysis, then manual dialysis, last was hemo-dialysis. He coded over 17 times, finally he had to get a tracheostomy tube.

Joshua was born 20 October 2008 via C-Section. He was diagnosed with a cleft palate at birth. We then went to see a plastic surgeon regarding the cleft and he said Joshua also has Pierre Robin, that was all very scary for me and Grant as we didnt know what it was and what the implications were.

Trached at 3 months after 1 months of being intubated after surgery. Now almost 18 months. Going November 21 to try to decannulate... fingers crossed. Unable to decannulate, maybe next time.

Abbrielle Calleen A Real is the first and only child of her parents. She was born on April 5, 2008 as a bouncing baby weighing 6.1lbs. She was born with multiple congenital anomalies such as laryngomalacia, cleft palate, and ventricular septal defect. She was checked for Pierre Robin and DiGeorge syndromes but found negative.
