Davia received her trache on August 12, 2006 in the emergency department one month after we took her home. She had spent 4 months in the NICU. Life has been a roller coaster but we have learned to cope. She has endured numerous respiratory infections.
She is now schedule for LTP surgery in montreal on October 16, 2009. We will update after the procedure.

successful decannulation!!!!!!
28 October 2009 - 7:11am — ShirleyDavia had a SSLTP on October 16 at the Montreal hospital for children. She was successfully decannulated on monday October 26. She is now going through narcotic withdrawal. I will update at a later date.

Davia was born premature at
Davia was born premature at 23 weeks and 5 days gestation. She has being trached since August 2006. Now finally we will be going to montreal for surgery hopefully decannulation.
