Gregory Mckinzie was born on January 5th, 2005. Arriving only at 28-weeks, he weighed in at 2lbs 4 oz. Greg had difficulty breathing and was intubated soon after. When Greg was a few weeks old, he aspirated milk into his lungs, which resulted in significant brain damage. He received his tracheotomy and G-tube thereafter. Doctors said that he would always need a ventilator. Little Greg, however, had other plans and was extubated in June 2005! After spending 6 months in the NICU, Gregory finally came home .
Gregory should not be identified as a disability, "Cerebral palsy", but as a human being who is cherished and loved. Gregory is a living Testimony!
