Jasmine is the youngest of my four "legal" (vs Foster) kids. She was a 24 week gestation preemie with multiple congenital and acquired medical problems and disabilities. Somehow we, her family, did not see anything except a new baby -though others most certainly did - and let us know it! She was 16 when she died very quickly from a virus. She will always be sorely missed. I am pleased to be able to have a Memorial where people "get it". My next adventure is with a grandaughter who has a trach! Once the adoption proceeds I will do a Profile on her.
Does anyone have a suggestion as to what the smallest, lightest weight, powered (not just manual) portable suction machine is?
Nancy

Hi, Nancy I wanted to take time to say Thank you for your post to my blog it helps when people say to you that it can happen you can bring your child home at the moment we had to have a family meeting because my questions werent being answered as well as a doctors lack of bedside manner. Well long story short she wont be coming hom ebecause health wise she can't at the moment and with this time that has gone by I did find a rehab closer to home that not only encourages you having your baby home but also helps you through the entire process to bring the baby home so I am happy that when the time does come we have that opition. Well Thank you again I do appreciate it, and should I have questions I will email.

Expecting!
I'm new and not good @ this computer stuff. My angel died on February 1, 2001 at age 16. Now I am expecting a GRANDchild... with a trach!! Unbelievably exciting. We are looking forward without the usual fear, trepidation, etc. that would accompany a trach announcement.
