My daughter was born 3 months premature and at 7 months she was diagnosed with subglottic Stenosis a narrowing of her airway. It was a shock at first to see her in that way when she had to have a hole threw her neck and to help her breath from a tube. I just had to get on with it and adjust to my child having this condition. This is going to be a long delay in her speech but has been learning makaton signing which is useful. She has a bubbly personality. She is now 27 months old and she has a fear of having her trachy tube and ties being done. As a single mother she is coming along way and I'm very proud of her.
