Jenson was born 7 weeks early on 13th January 2007 with (prenatally diagnosed) oseophageal atresia and pulmonary atresia.
He spent the first 5 months of life in intensive care during which he had a sucessful repair to his oesophegus and temporary repair on his heart. Tracheomalacia was diagnosed but we managed to get him off the ventilator and CPAP and home with nothing but his gastostromy!!
In Feb 08 he had a sucessful repair on his heart but unfortunately he failed 3 extubations and had a tracheostomy in March 08.
He is 2 now - home and is a very well (bar the odd infection) cheeky little monkey. Tacheomalaica still severe so decannulation not expected until 2010 at the earliest.
A very special and brave little boy!!
