Hi my name is Tandy. My son was born 11/11/08 at 1 lb 12 oz. 13 inches long. He is six months old and now weighs 7 lbs 12 ozs. He hasn't been home yet he has been in the NICU for all of the six months. He was trached 3/26/09. He is vent dependent as well as oxygen dependent we have just recently moved to vent settings without a rate so he is doing more of the work. He is a happy smiley little boy, we hope he comes home soon. I am here to meet people going through the same things, and someone i can relate too.

hi! Your little one
hi! Your little one resembles my baby! What a cutie. Krystal is right- they fly when they get home. Mine was in for 3.5 mths, and we have now been home for 3 weeks and he has grown. His story is different, but I know that feeling where you feel like your home is the hospital. Any idea when you get to go home? Hope soon!! God Bless

Hi. My son was born 11/17/08 weighing 1lb 10.5oz and 13in long! Wow. They should be buddies! My son also has a trach that he got 1/30/09. He also has BPD, chronic lung disease. Im sorry to hear that your little man is still in the hospital. My son finally come home 4/16/09, just 1 day before he turned 5 months. Let me tell you, as soon as you get Issac home, he will start growing like a weed! When people told me that my son would, I really didnt see what would be different that he would grown so fast, but he sure did! As of last friday he weighted 12lbs 2.4oz! He is so chunky.
