This is Esther MeiLing we call her Estie. She was born with Arthrogryposis and an unknow neuromuscular disease. Her biological parents could not keep her, for they were going back to China. We have permanent guardianship. When Estie was 6 months old she had partial lung collapse and was on a ventilator for a month. The doctors said she had SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy) and told us to take her home. We had to do a lot of fighting and praying. One of the doctors agreed with us to have her Trached. She has been home from the hospital for a year and 3 months. She is on a LP10 vent, although she needs a LTV; doctors orders, but no one will buy her one.
Estie has surprised all who said all she would move is her eyes, she is crawling!!! Estie is our little princess.
