158.JPG Celebrating Emily's 3rd Birthday with her Cousin.

April 27, 2008 our Gorgeous Emily Arrived 24 wks premature. After a tough year of an intense Roller Coaster ride through several different NICU's. As of January 2009 our Emily came home along with a tracheotomy tube, Vent, And G-Tube along with all the medical equipment that entails. Emily was Diagnosed with CLD, Gerd and Subglottic stenosis. Late September 2010 Emily's ENT Surgeon DR. K. Geller had stated he will be retiring, therefore I sought Out a second opinion at CHOC with Dr Camilon And we were unsatisfied with the level of care he provided. After several months of searching for an ENT to take over my daughter's case we have found success with Stanford . July 2011 Dr. Cheng at Stanford evaluated our daughter case and currently is scheduled to have a scope done September 9 2011 with a possibility of being decanulated. If there is scar tissue behind the vocal chords then she will need an LTP and if not then Dr. Cheng plans on lasering the stenosis. Please keep My Emily in your good thought's and prayers. - Audrey
