Hi everybody,
I am sad to have to tell you all that our eldest son, Noah, passed away on Monday morning. Two months ago he started having a new type of seizure that we couldn't control with any medication. They got worse and worse, and by last Wednesday he had gone into a coma. We tried to get him off the vent several times, but to no avail. We then had to make the most difficult decision that anyone could make...on Saturday morning we took him off the vent and two days later he peacefully went.
Noah was an amazing little person who through all his numorous crisis in his life, clearly showed us that he wanted to stay on earth and be with us, regardless of the fact that he couldn't talk, or walk, or sit or eat or do anything really. But he loved his daddy and brother Ruben, and I'm sure he didn't mind me either! He loved walks in his pram, and books and music, the list is endless. But then Noah clearly showed us all, that he has had enough, and now is on his little cloud playing with the friends he never had, riding bicycle, eating ice-cream, playing pranks, this list is even more endless!! (Ruben also has a trach and basically the same degenerative neurological disease as Noah had, so unfortuanatel we can't take for granted that we won't be in the same situation as we are now, again at some point in our lives.)
