My son just had his trach placed last saturday. I am so scared of the trach its weird. All the other things we have dealt with have been nothing compared to this. I am not sure how to handle it. I feel bad that he is in so much pain, and then I look at him and he has a smile ear to ear. i guess i am the one who is really acheing. I want him to be ok, and to be able to have as full of a life as possible. I want him HOME more than anything

Its so hard coming to terms
Its so hard coming to terms with a trach, i personally found it so hard when my daughter Demi-Ray came home. It was so scary but its gets so much easier with time. Get all the help you can as you will need it. Good luck x
