Speech after trach being removed??

My little girl had her trach removed back in June, and I am wondering how long it should take for her to catch up on her speech. She is 2 years old and was not able to really talk until it was taken out. When she had the trach she could make some sounds around the trach and she never could wear the passy muir because of issues with scar tissue, anyway I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has been through this with speech delays and how it went when their child was able to start talking.

Aspiration Post-vocal cord laterlarization surgery
My son Chase had vocal cord lateralization surgery on Friday in Cincinnati. The surgery went well, but as a result, my son is aspirating and is on thickening liquids and a mechanical soft diet. I am very concerned about his since he never aspirated before the surgery. Has anybody experienced this with their child after surgery? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
