she is doing great! We finally got home vent and moved out of icu. She has been doing great very happy and active while awake. I did notice today that she has a little blister right by trach site but there not conserned about it, just gonna put some vaseline on it. Otherwise im use to the vent already, and ready to take my baby home. We have some training to do sunday, then monday a nurse that is interested in doing cares 3rd shift for melanie is coming. The way things are going right now they are saying our discharge date will be in july, im so excited and ready to get her back home!

wow!! melanie is doing great right now shes had 5 nights in a row breathing on her own, lastnight she wasnt even hooked to the vent! so im keeping my fingers crossed and hopeing that shes growing out of whatever caused the apnea!!! if she keeps it up for the next couple weeks we get to take the trachea out!!!! shes gonna be 4mths tommorow. Her big sister is really ready for her to come home.
