Had a good day

Today was bright, sunny and warm, which is unusual in our part of the world; it's usually grey and raining. We packed a picnic and went to the David Livingstone Centre in Blantyre. Angus spent an hour here and there off his vent, but also enjoyed being trundled about in his buggy with his vent on, especially on the walk where Gav and I had to carry him, litter-style, up and down several sets of steps. He just lay back and enjoyed the ride......hmmmmmm.
The weather held, so we decided on a BBQ. We stopped off at SeeWoo supermarket on the way home and bought mussels, prawns, bream, and some dim sum. Angus and Juliet enjoyed watching the new addition to the seafood section swim around the tanks - eels. The lobsters, clabs and langoustine were still there, but the eels stole the show today.
It was nice enough to eat outside. Angus decided that he would like to wear a pair of Spiderman underpants on his head, and refused to take them off for the meal, so he sat at the end of the table looking somewhat bizarre, though he swore blind that this way he looked like Spiderman. :-? We had the seafood barbecued, then tossed in a chilli, lime and herb dressing, had fresh salad from the garden, and some spinach from the garden, simply wilted in a hot pan then tossed in sesame oil and soy sauce. With a pan of sticky rice, we dined like kings! I blitzed a mixture of everything in the VitaMix for Angus, and rather than eat it with a spoon, he spent the meal dipping a lettuce leaf into it and licking it off.
To round off a lovely day, our night carer phoned in sick, so hopefully Angus will sleep well tonight, otherwise we'll be walking around like zombies tomorrow!
